Description

  • Rated as Excellent. Beautiful, well maintain camp ground. Paved roads and level sights. Located on Quartz creek and Kenai lake. Each site has a fire pit and a picnic table. Water spigots are located throughout the campground. There is a combination of very clean flush toilets and pit toilets. There is a dump station across the street cost of $8.00, not included with camp site fee. Hosts are courteous, friendly, and willing to help in any way. One of the nicest camp grounds in the area and fills up fast, so reservations in advance are highly recommended. There are a couple of first come first serve sites, but go quickly. The only negative, is there are some tree branches that scrape the top of large vehicles. Highly recommended, would stay there again. Rated as: Excellent.

Other Notes :

  • Located very close to Cooper landing, Kenai River, and Russian river
  • Cooper Landing, home of several Kenai River fishing and rafting guides
  • Look at the surrounding mountain faces for mountain goats
