Description
Rated as: Average. Very basic RV park located in residential neighborhood, 6 miles outside Seward. It advertises as “Seward’s only luxury RV park”. It is definitely NOT a luxury park. It has dusty gravel roads and level gravel sites. It is surrounded by trees, but none in the park. One side is a glacier river with the adjacent side a large grassy area for kids and pets. Sites are close together, offering little privacy, but adequate room for awnings. Hook ups are convenient and work well. Bath rooms and showers are clean and well kept. There are only 3 women’s and 2 men’s shower stalls for the entire park. The owners realize this is inadequate and are going to expand next season. The toilet stalls are very quirky, having a 3 foot “cafe door” thus giving no privacy – a bit uncomfortable. Only 4 washers and 4 dryers at $2.50 each. Park is quiet and comfortable. There is a free shuttle to town, but did not use it. We stayed during July 4th celebration where thousands of people descend on Seward for the Mountain race, street party and midnight fire works. At any other time, I would recommend staying in town, at the large camp grounds. We would say there again if town CG were full. Rated as: Average.
Other Notes :
July 4th party and celebration. Fireworks are midnight July 23rd or 12:01 July 4th.
Visit the Aquarium.
Book a cruise tour of the Kenai Fjords National Park – about $200 per person , 9 hours.
