Valley View RV Resort is located in Layton Utah. This is a new RV park, that is very poorly designed. The roads are paved asphalt and the sites are concrete. The park has a swimming pool, hot tub, club house, pickleball courts, dog run and dog exercise park. There are no planned activities or social events. There are a mix of back in, pull thru. and pull in sites with a fair amount of room between them, with grass, a concrete patio and picnic table. All the utilities work well. The two bath houses and two laundry rooms are well maintained and very clean. The staff was not overly friendly nor were they accommodating. Now for the really bad – park is rather sterile, no shade, no planned activities, the guests are transient and not overly friendly, The concrete pads are NOT LEVEL, slope side to side. It is very hard to level a RV and requires numerous leveling blocks. As a result, the step into the RV is extremely high and requires a potable step. For a new park, this is unacceptable. We could not level at the assigned site, had to move sites, then had to argue with the staff. The concrete patio does not line up with the doorway, so the step out is onto grass that is lower then the concrete pad. The pull in sites require the motor home to pull up to the rear of another RV. This is very uncomfortable because looking out the windshield is looking into the rear window of the RV in front of you. The park is situated at the end of the Air Base runway. The jet engine noise is deafening, We would not stay there again. Rated as: Below Average.
