Description

Rated as: Average. This campground has three areas with separate personalities. The “upper area” is an open meadow, with no trees, pull in sites, a combination of seasonal and short term residents. This area is furthest away from the “action”. The “river sites” are back in sites, with trees, mostly seasonal. The “lower area” are back in and pull through sites with trees. It is a combination of seasonal and short term residents. All three areas have reasonable well spaced out sites. Weekends see a heavy influx of seasonals with the noise levels and activity rising dramatically. Activities such as live bands, BBQ, Bingo, darts, charity events, etc are all on weekends. Week days are quiet and calm. The owners are conscientious – taking very good care of the grounds and buildings. The baths, showers, and pool room are spotless. The laundry is very small and expensive $3.50 per load. Seasonal residents are rather “clannish” sticking to their little groups. There are enough “friendlies” to still feel welcome. Overall, it is a beautiful setting, mostly quiet and peaceful. We would stay here again. Rated as: Average.

Other notes:

Visit Ben and Jerry’s ice cream – however, prepare for outrageous crowds.

Try a maple creamie
