Rated as: Above Average. Great place for an overnight stay in Colome, SD. This 1500 acre ranch is a family homestead from the early 1900’s. Alan raise’s bison and has for over 30 years. He also has cattle, horses, and crops. He provides guiding services and lodging for deer and pheasant hunts. He is welcoming, friendly and helpful. We spend a couple of hours touring the ranch, seeing the bison up close and personal. There are several camping spots on the property – they have garbage cans, fire rings, some with picnic tables, and all with fabulous views. The ranch is very quiet with the sounds of nature the only “noise”. We would stay there again. Rated as: Above Average.
