Rated as: Average.   This Park is more of a retirement community rather then a destination RV Resort. There are a multitude of activities, amenities, and social gatherings.  The volunteer staff is courteous, welcoming, very helpful, and friendly.   The main road is paved while interior roads are gravel. The park is easy to navigate through. The sites have grass, picnic tables, and trees. They are level gravel, split between pull through and back in.  The site are uncomfortable close together.  The grounds are reasonably well maintained, There are a lot of retirement homes in the park. They range from small modular homes, park models, and some stick built homes. What is unusual is they are on large, heavily treed lots, with a lot of space between them. Most are well maintained, but a few really need some maintenance, yard care, and upgrading. The Escapee Nation Headquarters building located here.  Escapees is a nation wide membership club that has RV parks all over the country. Members get discounted, or in some cases free, overnight stays. They have a variety membership plans, mail forwarding service, and other membership benefits. The club offers tours of the facilities, but they are suspended because of covid.  Overall, this is a typical Escapees RV Park. They are low cost, older, well established, with a lot of activities, and amenities.  The down sides are sites that are too close together, the park is a bit run down and “tired”.  It serves a niche market for retirees on  a limited budget. We would stay there again, but would book a “premium”site with more space. It would not be a destination or long term stay. . Rated as: Average.

Other notes:

Home of the Escapee’s National Headquarters

They have a Smart Weigh scale for your RV’s that weight each tire independently

They have a Care Center, with RV lots, that provided assisted living for RV folks in their own RV
