Description
Rated as: Below Average. The RV Park is right in New Orleans and across the street from the bus stop. It is not in a very good part of town, though is does have a fence and coded gate. The owner lives on site and monitors everything closely, we felt secure and safe. There is no landscaping to speak of. All the sites are back in, fairly wide, on gravel and grass. There is plenty of room to park a tow vehicle. They are mostly level. The park is next to a train switch yard, there is constant train noise. We had the site furthest from the road, closest to the train yard, but still had a lot of road noise. The turn from the road and entrance into the park is tight for big rigs, but can be done. Once inside, it is easy to maneuver around. All the utilities worked well and are convenient. We dd not use the showers or laundry. The office and club house are in a residential building. We did not use it, but the owner said there was TV, books, movies, and a lounge area. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. He helped us plan an efficient use of our one day in New Orleans. It worked good enough for one night, we probably would not stay there again, though I have read this is as good as it gets in the city. Rated as: Below Average.
Other notes:
Close to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter
Do not miss the tree lined streets and huge southern mansions
