Description

Rated as Average. This park is a bit remote and difficult to get to. It’s 10-15 minutes from Walland or Marysville. The road from the highway is paved, but very narrow and over grown with trees. Price seems high for what it is, but typical for the area, due to the proximity of the Smokey Mountain National Park. The roads are gravel as well as each site. As long as the speed limit is observed, it is not dusty. There is plenty of room to maneuver around. The sites are level gravel, separated by grass and some trees. The site length and width are adequate. Fourteen sites are back in, thirteen are pull in, and the rest are pull through. There is a separate area for boats, trailers, and RV storage. All the utilities worked well, are convenient, and easy to hook up. Though the water is not very good, it has a unusual flavor. There is a heated swimming pool, an exercise room, and a large grass meadow on the edge of the park. The office will receive mail and packages. The grounds are landscaped with grass and trees, surrounded by thick forest. The Little River runs the entire length of the park with a walking path. Laundry has six washers and six dryers at $2.00 to wash and $1.50 to dry, 3 washer were broken. The showers are large, clean and well maintained. Most of the guests are short term and keep to themselves. The owners ares courteous and helpful. Overall is is an OK park with a lot of positives. It’s hard to down grade, but it is just so plain vanilla, nothing bad or nothing standout. Because of the poor cell service, poor internet, and poor water, we cannot recommend this park. Rated as: Average. Would not stay here again.

Other notes:

15 minutes to The Great Smokey Mountain National Park

45 minutes to Dolly World, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinberg

30 minutes to Knoxville
